The International Student Support Services Office is there to ensure that all international students are provided with necessary support for the duration of their studies at the Nelson Mandela University.

The International Student Support Office is located on the South Campus Building 87 and is responsible for:

• Advising prospective international students about qualifications offerings at the Nelson Mandela University and all legal requirements for admitted international students to register with the university.
• Aiding and guide on the application process,
• Assisting with compliance related issues which include Visa and Medical aid requirements,
• Provide international compliance clearing admitted international students for registration,
• Liaise with prospective international students, current international students, and faculties.
• Liaise with all South African Missions (Embassies, High Commissions, Consulates, Trade Missions) and the South African Department of Home Affairs within the Republic of South Africa,
• Social integrate through orientation and student activities, and
• Provide welfare services.
