Visa Requirement for Pre-Registration Compliance Clearance
Temporary Resident Visa Full-Times Studies
Temporary Resident Visa: Relative or Spousal Visa.
Secondary purpose: To study full-time at Nelson Mandela University for undergraduate, honours, coursework masters and Master’s by dissertation.

They are also required to have medical aid cover registered and administered by Medical Schemes South Africa. – A comprehensive medical aid cover paid up for the academic year or month to month provided is included in the employment benefits and the scheme must be registered with the South African Medical Schemes of South Africa. English Language Proficiency Test Results statement – This requirement is only for first time registering students at the university with previous schooling or studies’ medium of instruction was in any language other than English. The university only accept either IELTS with an overall score of 6 for undergraduate studies and overall score of 7 for postgraduate studies or TOEFL with average score of between 80 – 104 for undergraduate studies and average score between 105 – 120 for postgraduate studies.
Step 1: Only full/firmly admitted students will be assisted with pre-registration international compliance clearance.
Step 2: Email the applicable documents to immigration@mandela.ac.za
Step 3: International Clearance issued by Mandela International Office upon receipt of the above required documents.
Step 4: Financial Compliance Clearance.

Financial compliance clearance to be obtained from Student Accounts upon receipt of full payment of fees due to the university for the academic year of 2025.
