Visa Requirement for Pre-Registration Compliance Clearance

Diplomatic Visa Holders

 

Step 1: Only full/firmly admitted students will be assisted with pre-registration international compliance clearance.

Step 2: Required Documents;

  • Certified copy of a valid passport – Passport must be valid for 3 months and longer.

  • Certified copy of valid diplomatic visa to serve within the Republic of South Africa.

  • Medical aid/insurance provided by the diplomatic mission within the Republic of South Africa (Original Diplomatic Passport or visa of Parent/Spouse in case of a dependent)

  • English Language Proficiency Test Results statement – This requirement is only for first time registering students at the university with previous schooling or studies’ medium of instruction was in any language other than English. The university only accept either IELTS with an overall score of 6 for undergraduate studies and overall score of 7 for postgraduate studies or TOEFL with average score of between 80 – 104 for undergraduate studies and average score between 105 – 120 for postgraduate studies.

Step 3: Email documents applicable to you to immigration@mandela.ac.za.

Step 4: International Clearance issued by Mandela International Office upon receipt of the above required documents.

Step 5: Financial Compliance Clearance.

  • Financial compliance clearance to be obtained from Student Accounts upon receipt of the prescribed minimum payment of registration fees determined for the academic year of 2025.
