POSTGRADUATE APPLICATION PROCESS- 2027 APPLICATIONS

 

APPLICATION & CLOSING DATE

Applications open on 1 April of the year preceding the year of intended study and close on 30 September 2026 at 12:00 PM. You may apply online at  www.mandela.ac.za  and follow a link to study @ Mandela.

All international applicants are required to pay a non-refundable application fee of R500.00.

ALL INTERNATIONAL APPLICANTS ARE TO TAKE NOTE OF THE FOLLOWING:

  • Applications for admissions are submitted online and the applicant to upload the supporting documents
  • There is a non-refundable application fee of R500.00 for international applicants.
  • Supporting documents are to be uploaded on the application platform even if you are a current student still to complete a pre-requisite qualification or Final academic transcript in case of completed studies.
  • Valid Passport or National Identity Document.
  • Sworn English Translation of documents (Documents issued in any Language other than English)

Should you require on campus accommodation, please submit an online residence application form at the same time as you apply to study at Mandela.

Applicants who are attending or have attended a university within or outside the Republic of South Africa, must submit an academic transcript that covers the period of study to allow the assessment of the application for postgraduate studies.

 

 

ENGLISH LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY

POSTGRADUATE APPLICANTS

Provide proof of the English Proficiency where English was not used as a medium of lecturing (the University prefers the applicant to take the IELTS at an overall score of 7 and TOEFL at an average score of 105–120 for Postgraduate programmes).

 


UNIVERSITY FEES


Fees generally increase between 5 and 10 percent per year. Please contact the University in November 2026 to obtain the final fees for the 2027 academic year.

Postgraduate international students may be eligible for some scholarship opportunities. Those opportunities may be explored by clicking  HERE  and should you eligible for any funding opportunities at the university, it will be advisable to inquire about the costs of tuition fees and accommodation fees should you opt for on-campus accommodation by email to  intfees@mandela.ac.za
