On 21 February, the Nelson Mandela University’s Office for International Education (OIE) welcomed Prof Micaela Gunther from the Humboldt State University in California, United States of America (USA). Prof Gunther is a Professor in the Department of Wildlife and her primary work is used on filed studies as well as the uses of naturally occurring variation in the wild population.

Masifunde Learner Development is a public benefit organisation founded in 2003, which runs a rounded youth development programme in Nelson Mandela Bay, South Africa.

Their activities and programmes are implemented by a multi-national team of young professionals. They currently train over 450 scholars, teaching them to be active role models within their community. Masifunde’s training programme focuses on personality building, life skills training, academic support and extra-curricular activities.
