This seven-week long short programme consisted of 6 students and 3 faculty members and the programme was developed around the theme “Human Rights and the Economic situation within South Africa (SA)”. It explored the divisions within the SA economy, social and political issues that the country is facing as well as a comparison between SA and the USA. A lot of self-reflecting was done during this short programme as many of the students were really fascinated by the heritage of SA.

Amongst the standard visit to Cape Town, the group also visited a farm in Adelaide situated in the Eastern Cape for a weekend where they were given the opportunity to get away from technology, breath in the fresh air and become one with nature and just bonded with each other on a more personal level.
